Fun In The Sun at Parkview Nursery Extension!
06 July 2018

We were excited to visit the recently completed project at Parkview Nursery in Muirhead last week and get some great photographs in the summer sun. It was fantastic to see the children enjoying the new spaces, catching a nap, and staying in the shade in the large rear play area.

The original brick building has been finished in white render, giving the original 1957 building a fresh face. Complementing this are the new side and rear extensions finished in different shades of blue cladding panels, a robust material which brings a punch of colour to the main street in the small village, making the building stand out on the prominent site.

Two new large internal activity rooms have been formed off the original hall, which have been brilliantly adopted by the staff creating an exciting range of spaces and play experiences for the children.

To the rear, a raised decking area sits above the large garden space which has been populated with a variety of outbuildings and shelters, providing year-round external play opportunities within a controlled secure environment. The bold cladding adds a playful backdrop to the external space (and at this time of year sits well with the blue sky!)
